It seems a friend of Don also shares the exact same IP address from Seminole, Florida as from the earlier comment.

Fed Up, you are the one who has been duped into the believing the "analysis" about Jen Epstein on that site. Ministry Watchman has easily debunked the claims of that site. So, may I call you Tim Dick or John Duncan?

I received this last night:
<blockquote>friend of Don wrote:

<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.ligonier.org/docs/FinancialStatements2005.pdf" rel="nofollow">Ligonier 2005 Finanical statement</a>

why have you not jumped on this</blockquote>
Friend of Don, I was unaware this document was available but will hopefully have something to share if there is need. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Dear a friend,

Thanks for the reminder about Ligonier. I was aware that they are from that area, but it doesn't match the IP addresses I have been told are from Ligonier. I wanted to let the person I know where they are posting from. It is highly likely that the individual is either Tim Dick or John Duncan, but I can't be sure.

Vincent,

Yes, we should all start ministries and then ask for donations to further enrich our families...

perhaps you should approve the comments coming from Seminole FL, along with the IP addresses. Maybe those comments are coming from Ligonier, which is in Seminole County.

It makes one wonder if this is the same “tired of the crap” that has started all the blogs trying to discredit the Epsteins??

reposted for spelling

Tired of the ****,

Thanks for coming by. I will not be approving your comment. If your comment is directed to the gross salaries of the Sproul family at Ligonier, please do tell where I am being prideful?

P.S. How is the weather down in Seminole, Florida?

Is Ligonier's recruiting staff? Say, maybe I'll quit my job as President and join them.

It would be interesting to note what their Board rotations are if any. As I understand it, they pretty much got a new board in the last 5 years or so. IT would be interesting to note that change with the salary increases.

Just to compare and contrast: The pastor of my former mega church with 20,000+ members made half of what Tim Dick makes. He oversaw a staff of 450. He also did not get to keep royalties on his books. Those belonged to the church. At least they got that much right!

The salaries are way out of line for a ministry that size and even for a ministry in general. Or for a non profit that size. The CEO of the Metro United Way in my large-size city makes 170,000. A little less than John Duncan, a senior manager at Ligoneir.

Jen, excellent point. I did not look for the date, but I did notice that an extension was filed for the 2004 tax returns. We just might have to wait until November 2006 to see if any trends continued. I jokingly tell my wife that I am in the wrong business, especially seeing the pay for other ministries' leaders.
