As I understand it, they pretty much got a new board in the last 5 years or so. IT would be interesting to note that change with the salary increases. Just to compare and contrast: The pastor of my former mega church with 20,000+ members made half of what Tim Dick makes. He oversaw a staff of 450. He also did not get to keep royalties on his books. Those belonged to the church. At least they got that much right! The salaries are way out of line for a ministry that size and even for a ministry in general. Or for a non profit that size. The CEO of the Metro United Way in my large-size city makes 170,000. A little less than John Duncan, a senior manager at Ligoneir. I did not look for the date, but I did notice that an extension was filed for the 2004 tax returns. We just might have to wait until November 2006 to see if any trends continued.
