Hi, this is Brandon's wife Elizabeth. I just thought I would mention that yes, I am aware of Mr. Walton's comments. No, I am not scared. First, Brandon has done nothing wrong in this matter, he has plainly spoken the truth. Second, the Lord will protect us and may certainly use us for His glory, whether or not we are ever sued. Third, we have nothing to take!

Trying to come between Brandon and I won't work, I stand completely behind him and we have no secrets between us. -- Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Brandon, thank you for making this known for others to realize. I appreciate that you have been willing to say the truth, that you have feared the Lord and not men. The writer of the e-mail ended, "Does your wife know that you’ll probably end up in federal court?" This is not only a threat to destroy you financially, but a desire to wreak havoc within your marriage, to make trouble between your wife and you. I very much appreciate what you have written over the past weeks concerning this. I think that what Ligonier has done to Don Kistler is a line drawn, to show who is real and who is not real. God bless you and your family.

Brandon, It is a sad day in Christendom when you get e-mails like you got for posting factual, verifiable information about a 'ministry'.

It is an example of hard hearts who have put mere men above our Lord and His Word. Money over truth. I suppose these sorts of threats do work so that is why they still use them. Very sad and not something you would see from our Lord and Savior.

But the truth is we have seen this and worse from Ligoneir employees and supporters. It's strange in a way because they are so sure of their doctrine that they do not think it really applies to them!

When I read the entire Presidents letter from Tim Dick talking about his health problems, all I could think of was poor Dr. Kistler, stroke victim, with no health insurance and no job....thanks to Ligoneir.

It's obvious that Tim Dick didn't write this President's Report. Anyone who's seen Tim's own writing knows that he can barely write a coherent sentence. Nevertheless, Tim probably did have quite a bit of say in the Report, including this very duplicitous language:

"Our forecast for donations for 2005 was off by a larger margin than we have ever experienced in our history. This led to an immediate action of cutting expenses significantly..."

Ligonier's 2005 donations weren't off at all in comparison to prior years. However it could be that Tim was far more ambitious in his projections than any reasonably minded professional would be willing to project. That's because Tim isn't reasonably minded, nor is he a professional. Tim Dick has no qualifications whatsoever to be Ligonier's President/CEO/CFO.

Tim also fails to mention his decision to squander millions of dollars on a "mansion" which is still sitting vacant. Shortly after the mansion purchase Tim fired over a dozen long-term employees, some of whom had been with Ligonier for over 30 years. Oh, and let's not forget that two weeks later he went out and bought himself a new Lexus.

Tim Dick has ruined a lot of good people's lives while he's personally enriched himself. A man so inept and incompetent has no business paying himself a $230,000 salary (2004 figure, probably much higher now) from a donor funded ministry.

One final important point: I've repeated stated that the combined Sproul/Dick family salaries exceed $1 million (I'm still waiting for anyone at Ligonier to deny that). That's roughly 10% of Ligonier's entire income. Few of the Sproul/Dick family members on Ligonier's payroll have any ministerial or professional qualifications, and at least in the case of Ryan Dick, they have a family member on the payroll who openly boasts of his pagan hedonism. Sproul/Dick family members are paid far more than any qualified staff members in comparable positions at other ministries whose annual incomes are ten and twenty times that of Ligonier.

The fact that Ligonier remains a member of the ECFA doesn't demonstrate that Ligonier is practicing sound stewardship, or that it's in any way accountable to its donors. All it shows is that ECFA is a good old boys club.
