You wrote:You seem to just bypass all of these plain and clear scriptures which refute your diabolical and false gospel. I looked through your “Reconciliation of All Things” article at http://www.thepathoftruth.com/writings/reconciliation.htm and notice you don’t quote any of the above passages. I wonder why?

Gary: Probably for the same reason YOU don't quote passages plainly declaring Universal Salvation when you are trying to prove God is going to torture most of mankind. Furthermore, he may be using better translations than yours which do NOT have all the false Hell passges in them. For your information, there are scores of Bible translations in which you won't find the word Hell once! And even the most hellish newer translations admit the word Hell doesn't appear in the entire Old Testament so you won't find in the NIV, NRSV, NASB for example. The reason Jews don't believe in a Hell of everlasting punishment is because it is NOT IN THEIR BIBLE, it is only is MIStranslated Christian Bibles. One day that error will disappear from all Bible translations. Then YOU will be asked to "repent." Hope that day is soon.

The person who owns that picture, and posted it to his site, and comments on my blog consistenly shows up from a certain town in the UK. I never believed it was Jen, anyway.

The lady's facial features were just too different from Jen's.

I would not be unsympathetic in a normal situation, Yulina. And I don't rejoice that this might have happened. I just found it a wry twist that it would be a legal occurrence that would do Mr. Phillips out of his headquarters. Sort of a 'beating him at his own game' since he wielded the sword of legality so mightily against a brother in the faith.

Ultimately, it is the Lord who will judge and to Him Mr. Phillips will stand or fall in the Mt. Blanco/Allosaur matter. Headquarters, notoriety and monetary profits are of no lasting consequence. Vision Forum has much bigger problems than eminent domain---"for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen."

May God help us all to remember that this life--including business and buildings--is the shadow, to prepare us for glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.

I think we should be a little more sympathetic. How would you feel if you lost your home? One that you prayed for, that God provided through a miracle.
In the letter, Mr. Phillips wrote that they had to invest "tens of thousands of dollars" in an effort to get fair market value for their building. The goverment is not likely to overcompensate; for them, the smaller the amount to pay, the better.
I have seen local instances of businesses ruined because the government did not compensate enough to start over.

Comment on Fallacies regarding the Pre-tribulation rapture by Lynn

I remember being in High School when I first heard about the Rapture.
Before listening to someone talk about it, I just believed that all
followers of Jesus would be like the original disciples and the first
Christians. My favorite Bible story was the stoning of Stephen.
I don't really know why but I think it had something to do with
Jesus standing up to welcome Stephen and Stephen saying
"Lord, lay not this sin to their charge" echoing Jesus saying
"Father forgive them". When I heard about the rapture my
head rejoiced but my heart didn't join my head. My heart said
"no, this is not the right way, why would Christians for centuries,
like the Martyrs have had to die so violently and so cruelly
if there was an escape hatch". My heart said "why is
America exempt...when every nation that went before
was not?" My head said "yay, Jesus is going to snatch me
out of this mess and I won't have to finish my homework!!!"
ridiculous I know...but I was a teenager. After about two years
of that and praying for the rapture for insanely childish reasons,
I dismissed the idea of a secret snatch aka the rapture and
returned to my original idea that we ain't getting out of here
till it's over and it ain't over till it's over....and every eye
shall see Him and those who pierced him..." I think the
volumes of scripture make it plain. Jesus will be with
us to the end of the age..to the end of the world..to the
end of days. I also learned that Paul said "those of us
who are alive and survive...will be caught up". Survive
puts it in a completely different context. What would
we have to survive if we were not going to be here
during that period of suffering that would be so great..
except for the sake of the elect..doesn't that mean
the elect will be here? Anyway, I appreciate this blog and others
that expose the fallacy of the pre trib rapture...I think what
really solidified it for me was watching the Hiding Place and
Corrie Ten Boom talking at the end saying "There is no
pit so deep that He is not deeper still". The Tim Lahaye
books, never had an interest in them. Many of these
authors really spend too much time in my opinion dwelling in the
dark and we are to walk in the Light..as He is in the Light.

Eminent Domain is a hateful practice, but it all seems pretty poetic, really. The building on Blanco Rd. came to Vision Forum in 2002 as the allosaur was being lifted from Mt. Blanco museum by VF, et al--and now, by the hands of other wicked men, Blanco Rd. is being lifted from VF. Perhaps Mr. Phillips should break the cycle and give the proceeds from the sale of Blanco Rd. to Mt. Blanco for the restoration of their work and livelihood.

At least they aren't being evicted. I mean, it would be quite the undertaking, but they could just move elsewhere. I don't want to sound callous, but it doesn't seem like the guy is exactly hurting for money. I personally would rather support the truly persecuted brothers and sisters than to fund a legal battle.

I am no expert on eminent domain but I am fairly certain you are offered fair market value. The appraised value is near $1 million, but that doesn't necessarily the city will pay that amount. The location is supposedly not the best part of town so that will probably factor into any price. Remember that Vision Forum Ministries was in the red for roughly $90,000 after the Jamestown extravaganza so they probably could use the capital. I personally believe he should refund every person who purchased Raising the Allosaur the full retail price and with whatever is left compensate Joe Taylor and all those who actually raised it. Isn't the biblical standard for theft to return 7 times the amount? That would be a good start.

I don't believe Doug orchestrated this issue. I do believe however he is purposely playing the persecution card to get sympathy from the greater Christian community.

So how will the city compensate Vision Forum? If quite handsomely, it's hard to say whether Doug doesn't want this, or whether it was orchestrated to help out Vision Forum and he is looking forward to it, or even if it wasn't orchestrated by Vision Forum and he's still looking forward to it, on account of the potential financial gain.

For the record, there is a difference between "uninterested" and "disinterested". The former means "not interested" and the latter means "unbiased". It's the latter definition that we want, here.
